There are many qualities we can admire about the Bee and use in our own lives. Here are 3 that we have chosen:
We Can Accomplish What Seems Impossible
For many years it was believed that Bees should not be able to fly due to their aerodynamic shape. We now know that Bees have a unique way of flying. They utilize short wing strokes at a high flapping frequency and flap their wings back and forth not up and down.
At one point or another, we may relate to feeling that full recovery from an eating disorder is impossible. The Bee teaches us that we are unique beings and can forge our own path to recover from ED. Full recovery is possible.
Balance Happens In Nature
A honeycomb is one of the examples of a nature-made hexagon (having six sides). The number six represents harmony, balance, sincerity, and love.
As humans, we all need to balance activities, people, and thoughts in our lives. The honeycomb is a reminder to find that harmony and balance we crave.
Self Care Is Continual
Bees do not intentionally pollinate flowers as they look for sweet nectar but we’re sure glad they do. Bees take care of themselves in a way that benefits the well-being of their hive and the world around it. This is a great example of what self care can do.
Self care is finding something we can do regularly to comfort ourselves, bring joy and peace into our lives. We want to take care of ourselves so that we can be more present in our community and our world. Just like the bee, taking a moment to smell the flowers can help us along our busy day.
Words such as Unique, Balance, and Joy can be found on the back of our Bee Bracelets!
